Above, L to R: Gridshell, Seed Link and Lacuna, 2013. Three etchings by Brian Cypher.

Brian Cypher’s print series Entrances, Exits & Entropy will be featured in an exhibition hosted by ACME Creative in Anacortes, WA. The twelve etchings in the series, an exploration of abstract forms culled from Cypher’s practice of automatic drawing, were published by Manneken Press in 2013.  The etchings reveal a world of various states of being; energy transformation, matter becoming, and objects decaying. The images present a look into Cypher’s world of introspective observation of our nature. Click here to view all of Brian Cypher’s prints.

The exhibition opens with a reception for the artist on Friday, October 6th, 6-9 pm, and continues through November 19th.
ACME Creative, 705 Commercial Avenue, Anacortes, WA 98221.

Claire Lieberman’s solo exhibition UBDO Playground, opens October 12th at Massey Lyuben Gallery. Lieberman’s recent works in black marble and glass guns will be on view, as well as several brand new prints produced at Manneken Press. Click here to view all of Claire Lieberman’s prints.

The exhibition runs through November 11th. Opening reception for the artist: October 12th, 6-8 pm.

Brian Cypher’s prints on view in Seattle

Two of Brian Cypher’s etchings will be included in Out Of Sight, a survey of contemporary art in the Pacific Northwest.  The exhibition takes place at King Street Station, a 24,000 SF space close by the Seattle Art Fair, which will be happening concurrently.

Curated by Kirsten Anderson, Sharon Arnold, Greg Lundgren and Sierra Stinson, Out of Sight showcases over 80 emerging and mid-career artists, the largest survey of contemporary art happening in the region. Both in scale, proximity and premise, Out of Sight is a bold and audacious exhibit, designed to recognize the immense talent and creativity that the region harbors, and the under-recognized creative capital of the community.

Manneken Press published several etchings by Brian Cypher, a resident of the Pacific Northwest’s Skagit Valley, in 2014.
