Jill Moser: 2023 aquatints
Manneken Press released a new project with Jill Moser in 2023. Since our previous project together Moser’s work had shifted away from the gestural mark to a collage-based approach to image making. Some of these painted collages became the inspiration for the imagery in “Of Night” and “Rogue”. The subtle brushstrokes in the aquatint fields and the juicy texture of the woodcut strips echo some of the qualities of the collages.
The prints are hand-printed from etched copper plates and woodblocks on Somerset Velvet Soft White paper in editions of 20.
