John Yau is an acclaimed poet, art critic, author and editor of the widely read online arts magazine Hyperallergic. Yau is also known for his collaborations with more than 40 artists over the past 3 + decades. These projects have taken the form of prints, paintings, artist books and multiples. For his Manneken Press project Yau collaborated with painter Richard Hull on a series of monotypes loosely based on the format of “wanted” posters from the old west.
These prints were made using both oil and water-based media on a variety of fine art papers. All prints in the series are approximately 30 x 22 inches.
Several of these prints are included in “Diguise The Limit: John Yau’s Collaborations“, an exhibition that will be mounted by the University of Kentucky Art Museum in January 2024.
