Rupert Deese

Manneken Press has published three books with artist Rupert Deese in collaboration with a poet. Surf Music with poems by the artist’s brother R. Sam Deese, and The Center Of The Lake, with California based poet Todd Young, combine letterpress-printed text and silkscreened images, and were published in 2000 in editions of 200. The Orange, another collaboration with poet Todd Young, includes several woodcuts by Deese that are related to his Array series of woodcuts, and was published in an edition of 50 in 2006.  The edition of The Orange is nearly sold out.
