In “Printmaking Is…” Manneken’s master printer Jonathan Higgins is shown working on a color aquatint while riffing extemporaneously about printmaking.
The video shows the printing sequence of Violets, a 2-plate color aquatint by Jill Moser. The print is part of Moser’s dazzling “Chroma Six” aquatint suite published by Manneken Press in 2019.
“Printmaking Is…” is the first in a series of short videos that we will present periodically on this site and on social media. A shout-out to Jack Higgins for making “Printmaking Is…” (it never hurts to have a film student in the family!).
